Early spring view of hazel (filbert) catkins elongating. This Italian filbert was custom grafted for us in the early 90’s by an Oregon nurseryman whose family grew it in Italy. Many of the interesting fruit and nut trees on the farm date to our business “Sweetbough Nursery,” which we ran before we got too busy with the alpaca business, “Lazy M Suris.”
Nowadays we are semi-retired, with a mixed animal-vegetable-fruit permaculture farm.
